Akkodis is establishing a pioneering IT and Digital Centre of Excellence (CoE) , designed to drive transformative technology programmes across the UK. This dynamic new team will play a key role in delivering large-scale digital, cloud, software, and infrastructure projects, supporting both public and private sector clients. Solutions Architect
to design, develop, and oversee the implementation of scalable and robust technology solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to create solutions that meet strategic objectives and drive value. The
solutions Architect
will work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and customers to ensure that solutions are aligned with business needs, technical standard, and best practices.Responsibilities
Design end-to-end technology solutions that meet customer business requirements and align with enterprise architecture standardsDevelop architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and solution documentation for approval and implementationCollaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical solutionsConduct technical reviews, design validation, and risk assessments for proposed solutionsProvide guidance on technology selection, integration patterns, cloud architecture, and system scalabilityEnsure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and compliance standardsSupport pre-sales activities by providing technical input, solution demos, and proof-of-concept engagementsMentor and advise development and delivery teams on architecture best practices and design patternsStay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continually improve solution offeringsRequired Experience
Proven experience (7+ years) in IT, software development, or cloud architecture rolesHands-on experience designing and implementing complex solutions across multiple platforms or technologies (e.g. cloud, enterprise software, SaaS, integrations)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern architecture patternsExposure to Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practicesExperience with architecture frameworks and methodologies including TOGAFPre-sales or customer-facing experience including providing technical input for proposals, demos, or proof-of-conceptsExperience with system integrations, APIs, microservices, and data architectureStrong knowledge of security, compliance, and governance standards in solution designExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, QA, business analysts, and project managersRequired Skills
