In this strategic and technical leadership role, you’ll own the design and development of our application architecture — with a strong focus on unifying booking, scheduling, and payment systems into a seamless experience for clients and trainers.Reporting to our Director of Technology, you’ll oversee outsourced development partners, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable digital products that meet UP’s technical standards and growth ambitions.What You’ll DoDefine and maintain UP’s IT application architecture in line with our product and business strategiesArchitect scalable, secure booking and payment systems within a unified digital ecosystemCollaborate with Product Managers to shape technically robust, value-driven solutionsProvide architectural oversight and final sign-off on all on internal and 3rd party deliverablesEnsure third-party teams follow best practices in scalability, security, and performanceDrive high standards in system design, API development, documentation, and data architectureLead vendor architecture reviews and continuously optimise delivery workflowsEmbed privacy, security, and compliance into all architecture decisionsOwn and evolve our architectural documentation, roadmaps, and decision recordsWhat we’re looking forStrong experience in multinational, fast-paced organisations with a digital-first customer journeyExtensive coding background in various languages and technologiesFamiliarity with mobile strategy and modern mobile/open-source tech stacksProven ability to engage with and lead distributed, remote, and offshore technical teamsHands-on experience re-platforming core applications (preferred)Experience integrating systems using APIs and microservices (preferred)What we valueAt UP, we thrive with people who embody our values:Results-Driven:
