MERITUS are recruiting for an SC Cleared Solution Architect to join our client supporting the delivery of secure, large-scale technology programmes within the Defence and Central Government sector.SOLUTION ARCHITECT - 10 MONTH CONTRACT - UP TO 800 PER DAY - OUTSIDE IR35 - ANDOVER (2 DAYS ON-SITE) - SECTOR: DEFENCE / GOVERNMENT Lead solution architecture activities across a range of complex technology projects and programmesSupport legacy application modernisation and migration initiativesProduce high-level solution designs, architectural documentation, and technical artefactsCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, delivery, and business teamsEngage with Defence and Government stakeholders to ensure successful technical deliveryEnsure solutions align with security, compliance, scalability, and performance requirementsContribute to architectural governance, standards, and best practice across programmes Skills / experience required:Strong experience operating as a Solution Architect within Defence, Government, or other secure environmentsPrevious experience working with Army or MOD systemsKnowledge of secure development and architecture principlesUnderstanding of OWASP, NCSC Cloud Security Principles, and GDPRExperience delivering complex technology transformation or modernisation programmesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsDesirable:Experience working within SFIA-aligned delivery environmentsKnowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and ..... full job details .....
