Solution Architect

Job Title: Solution ArchitectLocation: Remote / London (2 days per week, Waterloo area)
Rate: -500 - -570 per day (Inside IR35)
Clearance: BPSS required for onboarding Eligibility:
Must have 5 years'' unbroken UK residency

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect to take ownership of solution architecture across a platform and associated data visualisation components. You will be responsible for ensuring scalability, security and performance are embedded throughout the solution while maintaining alignment with architectural governance and project standards. This position combines hands-on architecture leadership with team leadership responsibilities, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the solution architecture for the platform and data visualisation components.
• Embed scalability, security and performance principles across the solution.
• Ensure alignment with DSA architectural governance.
• Define and maintain architectural standards and best practices.
• Conduct architectural reviews and document key design decisions.
• Lead a multidisciplinary technical team across Architecture, DevOps, Data and Development.
• Act as the escalation point for technical challenges and blockers.
• Communicate leadership direction and strategic objectives to the project team.
• Support team development through mentoring and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Delivery Leads, Business Analysts and Product Leads.
• Advise on technical complexity, feasibility and delivery timelines.
• Refine requirements and support stakeholder engagement activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in complex technology environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong understanding of architectural governance, standards and design reviews.
• Experience working across Architecture, DevOps, Data and Development functions.
• Ability to assess technical feasibility and complexity of requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience documenting architectural decisions and solution designs.
• Must be eligible to undergo BPSS clearance.
• Must have 5 years'' unbroken UK residency.
