An established North East legal business is looking to appoint a Solicitor Team Leader within its Contested Litigation / Personal Injury team. The role sits somewhere between technical legal oversight and people management. You''ll work alongside the Principal Solicitor to ensure the team is performing effectively, while also having responsibility for supervising fee earners and authorising key elements of litigation. The underlying work is predominantly RTA-related contested litigation, so you''ll need a strong understanding of liability, factual causation and the procedural rules that govern these claims. That includes experience with: RTA liability and factual causation Credit Hire and Vehicle Damage claims Pre-Action Protocols Part 7 and Part 8 proceedings Relevant Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Directions Conducting and progressing contested litigation Authorising key elements of litigation undertaken by more junior fee earners Alongside the technical side, you''ll be responsible for helping the team deliver against its financial and performance objectives.
