Slater and Gordon Lawyers (UK)We are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join our first class Court of Protection team. We are seeking those with experience within Court of Protection, drafting applications for the appointment of deputies for property and affairs, whilst also working on statutory will applications, gift and care applications along with annual OPG accounts. There is also the opportunity to delegate to paralegals and support staff, along with participating in marketing opportunities and contributing to blogs and media commentary. Other aspects of the role would include producing complex documents, briefs and witness statements, along with leading client meetings and managing negotiations.Who are we? Utilise experience within Court of Protection to draft applications for the appointment of deputies for property and affairs, statutory will applications, gift and care applications, and annual OPG accounts.Produce complex documents, briefs and witness statements, and lead client meetings and negotiations.Delegate to paralegals and support staff where appropriate.Contribute to marketing opportunities and blogs/media commentary.Qualifications and experience
Experience within Court of Protection and drafting applications for the appointment of deputies for property and affairs.Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 is desirable and experience with purchase of properties is a plus.Ability to work on complex documents and manage client meetings and negotiations.Benefits and professional development
