A Soldering Technician position is available in Gloucestershire with Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial, offering a full-time, permanent contract. The hourly rate ranges from £13.08 to £13.69, with shifts running Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:15 and Friday from 07:30 to 12:15. This role begins on a temporary-to-permanent basis. Your duties involve hand soldering components, machine and hand crimping wires, constructing harnesses and cable assemblies, interpreting drawings, following written instructions, and inspecting finished items for quality. ⭐ Your Duties:
- Hand soldering components and assemblies to a high standard
- Machine and hand crimping of wires and electrical components
- Building wiring harnesses and cable assemblies
- Reading and interpreting customer drawings and specifications
- Following written work instructions accurately
- Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining high levels of workmanship and attention to detail
- Working efficiently as part of a busy production team
- Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a clean working environment
- Previous experience within wiring harness, cable assembly, electrical assembly or a similar industry
- Strong soldering and/or machine or hand crimping experience
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow written instructions
- A quality focused approach with pride in your work
- Reliable, motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Successful completion of a practical trade test at interview stage
- Temp to Perm opportunity after 12-13 weeks
- Competitive pay rate of £13.08 - £13.69 per hour depending on experience
