Solaris Engineer - Remote Working Must have an Active SC Clearance- Support the delivery of secure, resilient infrastructure services within a 24/7 operational environment.Solaris Engineer Responsibilities- Provide 3rd Line technical support for Solaris UNIX infrastructure and operating systems.- Maintain, troubleshoot and optimise Solaris environments, including virtualised platforms.- Develop, maintain and improve UNIX Shell Scripts to support automation and operational efficiency.- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure incidents, problems and performance issues.- Support Production, Disaster Recovery, LAP, Test and Development environments.- Monitor system availability, reliability and performance across UNIX/Linux platforms.- Support operating system maintenance, upgrades and infrastructure improvements.- Work with infrastructure teams to maintain secure and stable cloud-based services.- Contribute to technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures and service improvements.- Support operational activities within a 24/7 live-service environment.Solaris Engineer Skills and Experience- Significant hands-on experience supporting Solaris UNIX operating systems.- Strong Solaris infrastructure knowledge, including virtualisation technologies.- Proven 3rd Line UNIX/Linux infrastructure support experience.- Strong UNIX Shell Scripting and automation capabilities.- Experience troubleshooting complex UNIX operating system and infrastructure issues.- Strong analytical, ..... full job details .....
