O&M Engineer – Solar / Renewables

Midlands Based | £45,000+ DOE | Company Van + Fuel Card Permanent, Full-Time | HybridWe’re currently recruiting for an experienced O&M Engineer to join an established business operating within the solar and renewable energy sector.This is a hands-on role involving the maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation of solar energy systems across a range of sites. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently on-site, while also supporting wider maintenance and asset performance activities remotely.  What''s involved?

• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance on solar energy systems
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and technical faults
• Supporting the ongoing performance and reliability of solar assets
• Carrying out electrical maintenance and engineering tasks
• Working with clients and internal teams to resolve technical issues
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant standards
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Supporting long-term asset optimisation and performance improvements
• Travelling to solar park sites across the Midlands and surrounding areas

 What we''re looking for

• Previous experience in O&M, electrical engineering or renewable energy
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of single and three-phase electrical systems
• Experience with preventative maintenance and maintenance management
• 17th or 18th Edition
• 2391 or equivalent would be advantageous
• Renewable energy qualifications/experience would be beneficial
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites

• Salary from £45,000, depending on experience

 LocationIdeally based in or around Leicester, Northampton, Evesham or surrounding areas, giving good access to sites across the Midlands and wider region.
