Solar PV Technical Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Solar PV Technical Manager to lead the technical design and delivery of their solar projects. This is a key leadership role, ensuring all installations meet the highest standards of safety, quality and performance. Key Responsibilities Oversee the technical design and engineering of solar PV systems for commercial, and utility-scale projects. Conduct site audits, generate QC reports and snagging punch lists for installation teams. Experience of interpreting EPC contracts and specifications, ability to convert into electrical schematics, drawings and sub-contract work specifications. Author technical information for tender submissions. Create bill of quantities, rate cards and schematics from chosen design. Competent in cable sizing and AC network calculations. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and performance analysis. Liaise with project managers, clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution. Develop and maintain technical and handover documentation, including drawings, test certificates, compliance reports, and risk assessments. Assume Technical Nominee role for Electrical CPS scheme. Manage and mentor engineers and technicians, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, standards, and best practices in solar PV.
