Solar PV Electrician – Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance

Location: Bridgend, South Wales

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum

Full-time | Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Solar PV Electrician to join our growing team. The role involves working across a range of residential and commercial projects, installing and commissioning solar PV systems, battery storage, and associated electrical infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and wants to be part of a forward-thinking renewable energy company. Occasional working away for short periods may be required, depending on project location.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of solar PV inverters and battery storage systems
• Carrying out service, maintenance, and inspection works on existing systems
• Installation of AC supplies, containment, and cable runs
• Fault finding, testing, and troubleshooting of PV and battery systems
• Completing commissioning documentation and handover packs
• Ensuring all work complies with BS 7671, MCS standards, and health & safety requirements

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• 18th Edition (BS 7671)
• Valid CSCS or ECS card (required)
• Experience in solar PV and/or battery storage systems (preferred)
• Strong understanding of electrical installations and testing procedures
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience with SolarEdge systems
• Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
• Previous experience in commercial PV installations
