Solar Panel Estimator Our client based in Wellingborough is currently recruiting for an Estimator for a new position withing this new and expanding company, Ideally you will have worked within a similar field and have transferable skills. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for solar energy projects, including residential, commercial, or utility-scale installations. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and site conditions to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements, ensuring compliance with company objectives and industry standards. Solar Panel Estimator Key Responsibilities: Office based Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to define project requirements. Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for all system components (panels, inverters, racking, electrical BOS, etc.). Calculate labour hours, equipment needs, and subcontractor costs. Collaborate with sales, to refine proposals and identify value engineering opportunities. Identify project risks and factor appropriate contingencies into estimates. Develop comprehensive, professional bid proposals and present them to clients or internal stakeholders. Solar Panel Estimator Qualifications: Proven experience in construction or electrical estimating, preferably in the solar/renewable energy sector. Strong understanding of solar PV systems, components, and installation processes an advantage.
