Solar Electrician

Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards to this self-employed subcontractor Solar Electrician-opportunity.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Solar Electrician to join a growing renewable energy business, carrying out Solar PV installations at domestic properties across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician with proven Solar PV installation experience who is looking for ongoing subcontract work.

The successful candidate will be required to work independently, travel to customer properties and represent the company professionally at all times.

The Role:

• Carrying out Solar PV installations at domestic properties.
• Completing electrical installation and associated works to a high standard.
• Carrying out inspection, testing and fault finding where required.
• Ensuring installations are completed safely and in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Working independently at customer properties.
• Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer service.
• Representing the company professionally when dealing with customers.

Requirements:

• Qualified and experienced Electrician.
• Proven experience in Solar PV installations.
• Experience working on domestic Solar PV installations.
• City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing qualification.
• Current Competent Person Scheme (CPS) membership.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own van and tools required.
• Ability and willingness to travel to different locations.
• Professional approach with excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Must be able to successfully pass a DBS check.

Training:

• All successful electricians will be required to attend an in-house Solar training course in Sheffield before commencing work.
• The training will provide you with the knowledge required to work with the company''s Solar PV systems and installation processes.

Travel & Mileage:

• Candidates based around Oxfordshire and along the M25 are particularly encouraged to apply.
• Your own van is required.
• Mileage will be paid for travel over 100 miles from your home address.
• Occasional overnight stays may be required depending on location, with accommodation arranged and paid for by the client.

Rate:

• -800 per Solar PV installation
• Typical installation time is approximately two days for one engineer.
• 14-day payment terms.
