The role is paying £50 per hour via an Umbrella company, for an initial 12 Month period.Software Test Engineer – Agile Testing | Contract | SC Clearance RequiredWe''re working with a leading organisation in the aerospace and defence sector who are looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in test automation and agile environments. You''ll be part of a collaborative scrum team, contributing across the full development lifecycle on critical projects within the Satellite Communications domain.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute manual and automated tests using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and Postman (or similar tools)Collaborate with the team to design, implement and test features for a new productEstimate tasks as part of sprint planning, contributing to an agile development processInterpret Model-Based Systems Engineering diagrams to support testing activitiesWork with GIT and Jira to manage test documentation and development tasksConduct exploratory testing within a REST architectureGenerate clear and accurate documentation in line with project standardsSupport test readiness reviews and contribute to test boards as guided by the Test LeadWhat We''re Looking ForExperience with test automation frameworks using Java and SeleniumFamiliarity with testing RESTful APIs using Postman or similar toolsSolid understanding of agile development methodologiesStrong attention to detail and good documentation practicesAble to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamComfortable engaging with both internal and external stakeholdersNice to HaveExperience working with Model-Based Systems EngineeringExposure to regulated or high-compliance environmentsOther InformationDue to the nature of the work, some on-site presence each week will be required.
