Software Test Engineer

Our client, a leading entity in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking an Integration and Systems Validation Engineer to join their dynamic Integration and Systems Validation (ISV) team within the Weapon System Simulation and Experimentation (WSSE) department. Join our client in driving innovation and excellence in the field by providing systems integration and testing for digital simulation and experimentation products in a dynamic and growing area.Key Responsibilities:Test/Proving PlanningUnderstanding customer needs/requirements from a proving perspectiveUnderstanding design/architecture including input to test bed needsTest planning, design and specificationTest/Proving ConductRegular progressive assurance testing during software developmentSupporting technical investigations into defects and emergent behavioursSupporting external software integration with other engineering partners and customersData analysis of logsConducting formal qualificationTest/Proving ReportingRegular reporting to project lead and stakeholders on software functionalityWriting test/analysis reports for certificationSupport to software delivery/release process including certificationJob Requirements:Experience in systems verification and validation (VandV), with a strong understanding of systems provingKnowledge of weapons systems and their integrationProficiency in using tools such as Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, Python scripting, IBM ALM ETM/Doors, PLM, Excel, and basic MacrosAbility to ..... full job details .....
