Software Test Engineer Location: Christchurch, Dorset - On-site Working Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 depending on experienceSoftware Test Engineer needed in Portsmouth, to join one of the UK''s largest defence and security organisations.The Test Team is responsible for assuring system quality, reliability, and performance through hands-on testing, defect identification, and results reporting. You will be part of a team working closely with testers, developers, and stakeholders, where you will design and execute test cases to ensure solutions meet business and user requirements. A diploma or degree in an engineering-related discipline is desirable.What the role of the Software Test Engineer entails: Some of the main duties of the Software Test Engineer will include:Design, develop, and execute test activities for complex systems.Support the full testing lifecycle, including defect management and reporting.Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders on system acceptance.Utilise technical knowledge of Windows environments and scripting for test execution.Contribute to test planning with a proactive problem-solving approach.
