      <description>Location: Hertfordshire | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Permanent | Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in C++, Ada, Java, or Rust to join their dynamic Simulation Software Department.   Key Responsibilities:    Improving reliability and reducing technical debt within the Simulation Software Department  Working in an agile manner closely with customers to understand and meet their needs  Resolving complex issues and ensuring the reliability of Command-and-Control Systems  Developing deep knowledge of the architecture to make the platform reliable and resilient  Implementing durable fixes to identified root causes  Working with CI/CD pipelines and writing Automated Test Scripts    Job Requirements:    Experience in Software Engineering  Proficiency in C++, Java, or Rust with a willingness to learn and develop in Ada  Understanding of key software development concepts within an Agile environment  Experience of performance tuning and root-cause analysis  Willingness to build deep system architecture understanding    Desirable Skills:    Prior experience with the Ada programming language    Benefits:    Company bonus   Pension with a maximum total contribution of...</description>
