Software Release Manager

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Software Release Manager to join an excellent clients established team in Poole, Dorset. The Software Release Manager will own and coordinate the end-to-end software release lifecycle across multiple applications and environments. The role is responsible for ensuring releases are planned, governed, and deployed safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption to the business. Working across Engineering, Product, QA, Infrastructure, and Support, this person will manage release readiness, deployment coordination, risk, communication, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage the software release calendar and deployment schedule.Coordinate releases across production, staging, UAT, and other environments.Manage release readiness reviews, approvals, quality gates, and Go-Live activities.Identify and manage release risks, dependencies, blockers, rollback plans, and recovery activities.Maintain release documentation, change approvals, deployment records, and audit trails.Coordinate technical teams during complex or high-risk deployments.Work with Engineering and DevOps teams to improve CI/CD, deployment automation, and release reliability.Communicate release schedules, risks, impacts, and outcomes to technical and business stakeholders.Monitor release performance and drive continuous improvement across release processes and tooling.
