Software Engineer (Test Systems)

Our client, a leader in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a Software Engineer specialising in test systems to join their team based in Rochester. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for test systems within electronic systems. The position is offered on a contract basis.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop software for test systems used in electronic systemsMaintain and enhance existing test software solutionsCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the software meets system requirementsPerform debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects and issuesDocument software designs, processes, and test results comprehensivelyEnsure compliance with relevant Defence and Security standards and regulationsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the software development processParticipate in code reviews and testing activities to ensure high-quality deliverablesJob Requirements:Experience in software engineering, specifically for test systemsStrong understanding of software development life cycle and methodologiesProficiency in Labview and/ Or TestStand Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issuesEffective communication and collaboration skills within a multi-disciplinary teamKnowledge of Defence and Security standards and regulations is desirableAbility to work on-site in Rochester for four days a week, with flexibility for remote work on Fridays Benefits:Opportunity to ..... full job details .....
