Reporting to the Engineering Manager and based in Burton-on-Trent, the successful Software Engineer candidate will be responsible for the design, development, test and maintenance of software systems supporting locomotive products and associated equipment, and will contribute to new product development, system upgrades and ongoing technical support, ensuring software solutions meet functional, safety, and quality requirements and necessitating close collaboration with the electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams. Core responsibilities for this varied and challenging Software Engineer position will include (but not be limited to):Design, development and maintenance of software for embedded systems, control systems, and diagnostic applications.Producing software architectures, specifications, and detailed design documentation in line with engineering standards.Implementation, test, and debug of software to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with requirements.Participation in system integration, validation, and ..... full job details .....
