As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, Enterprise Technology Division, you will be an integral part of an agile team dedicated to designing and delivering innovative technology products that prioritize security, stability, and scalability. Your responsibilities will include implementing vital technology solutions across various technical domains and business functions, all with the objective of furthering the firm''s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required QualificationsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced-level implementation skills with Java and J2EE; Core Spring Framework and Spring bootStrong knowledge in one of Cassandra, Oracle, MS SQL and RDBMS database conceptsExperience with distributed computing environments, cloud computing platforms (Amazon Web Services/AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and KubernetesStrong programming skills in one of scripting languages: Groovy, BASH, Shell, Python,, GOStrong working knowledge of modern development technologies and tools such Agile, CI/CD, Git, Terraform and Jenkins
Preferred QualificationsCertified in one or more cloud technology (AWS, Azure or GCP) is a plus
