Software Engineer

Location: Reading
Contract Type: IR35 Exempt, Small Business
Duration: 6 months (with strong potential to extend)
Rate: Competitive, based on experience

We’re on the hunt for a hands-on Software Engineer who’s passionate about turning complex visual data into powerful, real-time solutions. This is your chance to make a real impact where your ideas won’t just be heard, they’ll be built into the core of the product.

• Designing and implementing advanced image processing algorithms
• Writing clean, scalable, and well-documented C code
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders to shape and refine requirements
• Optimising performance for real-time and high-resolution processing

• Strong C skills for high-performance development - open to other languages
• Deep knowledge of image processing techniques: edge detection, filtering, segmentation, colour correction, and more
• Experience with 3D reconstruction: stereo vision, point clouds, marker detection, image mapping
• Expertise in camera calibration (intrinsic/extrinsic models)
• Familiarity with camera control protocols: GigE Vision, CoaXPress, GenICam
