Software Engineer C

We are working with a leading organisation within the defence and advanced technology sector, currently looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join a highly capable and collaborative team.

Based in Bristol, you''ll contribute to the development of next-generation air defence systems, working on cutting-edge solutions that prioritise safety, performance, and reliability. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in shaping command and control architectures for future products.

This opportunity is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys taking ownership and working across the full software development lifecycle.

• Design and develop command and control architectures for advanced systems
• Contribute to the development and evolution of future product instantiations
• Work across the full software lifecycle, from requirements through to verification and validation
• Collaborate with stakeholders and requirement authorities to define and refine solutions
• Produce clear and effective technical documentation
• Support continuous improvement by introducing new tools, techniques, and development approaches
• Ensure high standards of code quality, safety, and reliability

• Strong background in software engineering
• Proven experience developing in C++
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining delivery momentum
• Experience with additional languages or technologies such is advantageous
