Full Stack Software Engineers required!



Client: Defence sector Programme: Naval Electronic Warfare (EW) Location: Bristol - Hybrid (3 days per week onsite average) Duration: 3-month initial contract IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Role details:

Our client is looking for highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineers to join a complex, multi-year programme within the defence sector. The role will support an Naval Electronic Warfare programme, contributing to the development and maintenance of high-performance systems.

This is an opportunity to work on challenging, mission-critical technology within a hybrid working environment, requiring a blend of onsite collaboration and remote delivery.

Responsibilities not limited to:

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using React.
• Build and optimise back-end services in C#.
• Contribute to a microservices architecture utilising Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design and manage complex databases (PostgreSQL).
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure best practices in performance, scalability, and maintainability.

What we are looking for in you:

• Proven track record as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Strong experience with:
• React (front end)
• C# (back end)
• Docker and Kubernetes (microservices environment)
• PostgreSQL (complex databases)
• Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid working model.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• A results-driven, high-performance mindset.

• Hybrid working: Expected to be onsite in Bristol 3 days per week on average.
• Duration: Initial 3-month contract.
• Outside IR35: This engagement has been determined to fall outside IR35 legislation.
