Software Engineer

We are now looking for a Software Engineer to join the product development team with a manufacturer of innovative test instrumentation in Andover.

Joining the Engineering Team, your main duties will be writing code to develop the Windows applications software, including control and data acquisition for the next generation products.

Writing software for new products, you will ensure your NPD projects are delivered on-time and to budget.

You will contribute towards system and architecture design decisions.

You will create and maintain project documentation to a high standard and provide training materials as required for internal and external use.

Working closely with the marketing, sales, and production teams you will provide support on software related and technical matters for existing products.

You should ensure that all products meet essential regulatory requirement for the territories they are sold to (e.g. CE marking).

Qualifications:

We are looking for an individual who is educated to Degree level (or higher) in Computer Science or similar discipline or equivalent experience, who has gained commercial experience after graduating.

Experience:

Engineering project exposure should include experience in software to make things move or sense something physical, for example programmable controller such as raspberry Pi, Arduino or similar.

Experience in Object Orientated programming in C++ and/or C#; Microsoft Visual Studio; Windows GUI applications, coupled with an understanding of modern software design models (for example MVVM) and multi-threaded applications running under Windows OS are required.

An ability to troubleshoot and fix software bugs electro-mechanical systems.

Salary / benefits: c-30-40k, plus benefits
