Senior Software Developer - Java/Spring Boot/ReactWe are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a high-performing Agile team delivering large-scale digital transformation within a critical public sector environment. This is an exciting opportunity to modernise Legacy platforms, develop innovative digital services, and build scalable, cloud-native solutions that make a real impact.Rate: £450 p/d outside ir35Duration: 6 months with possible extensionsLocation: mostly remote, with occasional requirement in Edinburgh or GlasgowKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and support modern web applications and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot and React.Deliver secure, scalable and maintainable solutions within an OpenShift environment.Enhance automation capabilities, case management solutions and digital customer journeys.Design and integrate APIs using service-oriented and event-driven architecture.Produce high-quality, test-driven code using TDD, pair programming and code reviews.Develop accessible, responsive user interfaces using React, Next.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.Create and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright.Support CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, troubleshooting and production support.Work collaboratively within Agile (Kanban) teams, contributing to technical design and continuous improvement.Coach and mentor colleagues while promoting engineering best practices.Essential Skills andamp; ExperienceStrong commercial experience with Java 17/21, ..... full job details .....
