  • Deliver engaging Sociology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Encourage students to critically analyse social structures, contemporary issues, and sociological theories.
  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, using data effectively to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development of the Sociology curriculum and wider Humanities department initiatives.
  • Support enrichment opportunities, debates, social research projects, and educational visits where appropriate.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Sociology in a secondary school or sixth form setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the social sciences.
