Sociology Teacher

Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Sociology lessons across KS3 and KS4, developing resources, assessment strategies, and differentiated approaches to meet students'' needs. Monitor and support student progress and development, acting as a form tutor to a designated group. Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development, and quality assurance processes. Participate in professional development, engage in performance management, and support the academy''s continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders to support learning and engagement. Promote a safe, motivating, and inclusive learning environment. Person Specification / What We Are Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant undergraduate degree. Experience teaching Sociology at secondary level; teaching practice is acceptable.
