Passionate Sociology Teacher Wanted in Hounslow! Inclusive Secondary School

Location: Hounslow Role: Sociology Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and challenging Sociology lessons at Key Stage 4 and potentially A-Level.
• Inspire students to develop a critical understanding of sociological concepts, theories, and their application to society.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Sociology curriculum.
• Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Sociology.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages discussion and analysis of social issues within an inclusive framework.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Sociology or a related social science field.
• Proven experience teaching Sociology at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
• Strong subject knowledge of sociological theories, research methods, and contemporary social issues.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate engaging discussions.
• A commitment to fostering critical thinking and social awareness within an inclusive setting.
