Social Worker Children and Families About the Role We are seeking an experienced and committed Children and Families Social Worker to support children, young people and families who are in need or at risk. The successful candidate will assess the needs of children and families, analyse information and develop effective care plans. You will work closely with families, colleagues and partner agencies to provide appropriate support and protection, ensuring children s safety and wellbeing remain at the centre of practice. Key Responsibilities Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying needs, strengths and risks. Analyse information to inform care planning and professional decision-making. Work directly with children, young people and their families to understand their needs and wishes. Develop and implement effective multi-agency interventions and support plans. Undertake statutory visits in line with relevant legislation and local procedures. Complete parenting assessments and provide evidence-based recommendations. Assess and manage safeguarding concerns and risks. Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including education, health, police and other professionals. Monitor and review interventions to ensure they are achieving positive outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely case records, assessments and reports. Advocate for children and young people and ensure their wishes and feelings inform decision-making.
