Social Worker - Looked After Children''s Team Leeds City Council Up to 35 per hour Are you an experienced and compassionate Social Worker dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in care? Leeds City Council is looking for a committed individual to join our highly valued Looked After Children''s (LAC) Team. About the Role: As a Social Worker within our Looked After Children''s Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being, stability, and positive development of children and young people who are in the care of Leeds City Council. You will hold a diverse and complex caseload, working directly with children, their families, carers, and a range of professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for each child. Key Responsibilities: Build meaningful relationships with children and young people in care, understanding their wishes, feelings, and needs. Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans that reflect each child''s individual circumstances and aspirations. Undertake statutory visits to children in their placements, ensuring their safety, well-being, and progress. Prepare for and attend statutory reviews, actively participating in decision-making processes. Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential staff, parents, and other professionals (e.g., health, education, CAMHS) to provide holistic support.
