Essex County Council Locum £36 per hour Hybrid Working Essex County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. This is a specialist role supporting children and young people with complex needs, ensuring they are safeguarded and receive the right level of support to achieve positive outcomes. You will work within a multi-agency framework, delivering high-quality assessments, care planning, and statutory interventions across the child s journey. In this role, you will: Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and complex needs Undertake Child and Family Assessments and statutory visits Complete and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children plans Work closely with families, carers, schools, and health professionals Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes where required Promote strengths-based and child-centred practice Maintain accurate and high-quality case recordings What You ll Need: Social Work England Registration Social Work Qualification Experience within a Children with Disabilities team or working with complex needs Strong assessment and multi-agency working skills Ability to manage risk and deliver effective interventions What You Can Expect: £36 per hour 37 hours per week Hybrid working arrangements Supportive team environment Why Sheldon Phillips?
