Social Worker Child Protection / Child in Need Team Salford Council £39 per hour Salford Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Child Protection and Child in Need Team on an agency basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and child-focused service committed to safeguarding children, strengthening families and achieving positive outcomes through purposeful intervention. Working within a busy frontline team, you will undertake a varied caseload involving children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans, completing assessments and interventions that promote safety, stability and long-term positive change for children and their families. Role Overview As a Social Worker within the Child Protection and Child in Need Team, you will be responsible for assessing risk, planning interventions and working in partnership with children, families and multi-agency professionals to ensure children receive the right support at the right time. You will manage cases from assessment through to longer-term planning, using relationship-based practice to improve outcomes and reduce risk. Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse caseload of children and families subject to Child in Need and Child Protection processes. Undertake statutory assessments, including Child and Family Assessments, to identify needs, strengths and risks.
