Social Worker - Separated Children and Young People Service (UASC) - Solihull Council

Our client, Solihull Council, is seeking an agency Social Worker for its Separated Children and Young People Service.This post will last 3-4 months initially paid at MOU rates.Please let me know if you are interested? Or can you refer a friend for £300 if placed?The role will involve the following:The team focuses specifically on young people who arrived in the UK as unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) and are looked after by the local authorityUndertake assessments in line with the "Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families".Carry out regular reviews of individual plans, record outcomes and formulate plans based on those reviews.Provide detailed reports for statutory reviews, child protection conferences, panels and courts as required.Experience of undertaking Age Assessments is an added advantage.Requirements of the role:Qualified Social WorkerFully Social Work England registered3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)Strong experience in children''s social care and working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) if possibleExperience of undertaking Age Assessments is an added advantagePlease contact me asap to discuss in more detail.
