      <description>Location: Weston-super-Mare | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Contract | Social Worker – Children in Care Team – North Somerset    Location:  North Somerset Council – Weston-Super-Mare   Pay/Salary:  £40 an hour   Office Working:  2-3 Days per week   Contract:  Locum  We are currently working with North Somerset Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Children in care team in Childrens Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, North Somerset are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service.  Duties   	 Manage a caseload of Children in Care, supporting their well-being, stability and progress against Care Plans 	 Completing statutory visits within required timescales 	 Long term engagement with families, including direct work with children and young people, ensuring the child’s voice is captured 	 Preparing high-quality reports for LAC reviews 	 Undertaking proceedings and court work 	 Leading multi-agency working with education, health, and partner agencies – such as foster carers, and residential providers 	 Supporting the transitions of children leaving care, including pathway planning 	 Undertake all Child Protection work from the initial conference...</description>
