Social Worker - Mental Health

Mental Health Social worker required in Hampshire - based in Havant. Up to -38 per hour!

Skills and Experience Required

• Provide support and therapy to individuals and families experiencing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, or substance misuse, using a strengths-based approach.
• Conduct assessments (psychosocial, risk, care needs) to establish diagnoses and identify required support.
• Develop and monitor individualised care plans, in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Undertake crisis intervention and risk management, safeguarding vulnerable individuals using frameworks like the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, or Care Act.
• Advocate for clients'' rights and coordinate with community, statutory, and voluntary services to ensure access to resources and promote social inclusion.
• Provide therapy and counselling through one-to-one or group sessions using evidence-based models such as CBT or DBT. [
• Maintain accurate records, case notes, progress documentation, and adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Support carers and families, offering psychoeducation, emotional support, and inclusion in recovery planning.

Requirements as a Social Worker include:

• SWE Registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Drive and have access to a car
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
