Social Worker - Fostering Team
About the Role Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join its Fostering Service. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people by supporting foster carers and ensuring high-quality placements are maintained across the county. Working within a supportive fostering team, you will build strong relationships with foster families, children, and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and stability for children in care. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with regular visits to foster carers'' homes across Cambridgeshire and office attendance in Huntingdon approximately 2-3 times per month. Key Responsibilities Provide professional support, guidance, and supervision to foster carers, promoting best practice and positive outcomes for children and young people. Undertake regular visits to foster carers'' homes across Cambridgeshire. Complete fostering assessments, reviews, and support plans in line with statutory requirements and local authority procedures. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with foster carers, children, birth families, and professionals involved in the child''s care.
