Social Worker - Duty and Assessment
Halton Council are seeking an experienced qualified Social Worker to join the Duty and Assessment Team based in Widnes. The Duty and Assessment Team are a dedicated and impactful team, who are at the heart of positive change - working directly with children, families, and partner agencies to ensure every child''s needs are met swiftly and effectively. With a strong focus on collaboration and timely support, this is a team where your work truly makes a difference.As a Social Worker within our Duty and Assessment Team, you will identify and assess levels of risk and need, and deliver protective or supportive services for children at risk, in need of support and or looked after. If the child/young person requires longer term support you will assist in ensuring that they are allocated to a social worker in our Child in Need team. Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct initial assessments.Manage a varied caseload of children and families in need of support.Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children.Undertake home visits, build rapport with families, and ensure that appropriate interventions are put in place.Produce high-quality assessments and reports for management and court purposes.Respond swiftly to referrals, assessing risk and need to ensure timely and effective interventions.RequirementsQualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work).Registration with Social Work England.3 years permanent experience.Proven experience within a Duty and ..... full job details .....
