About the RoleCoventry City Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the West Team within Children''s Services. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and established case-holding team, working directly with children and families to deliver effective safeguarding interventions and positive outcomes.Rate: 28.55 per hour (Umbrella)As a Social Worker within the West Team, you will manage a varied caseload and work with children and families requiring statutory support and intervention.Key responsibilitiesCompleting Child and Family AssessmentsUndertaking Child Protection EnquiriesWorking with Children in Need, Child Protection and Looked After ChildrenSupporting families through the Public Law Outline (PLO) processInitiating care proceedings where requiredDeveloping effective support and intervention plansDelivering direct work with children and familiesAssessing and managing risk to ensure children''s safety and wellbeingWorking collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomesPreparing court reports and providing instructions to Legal Services when necessaryRequirementsSocial Work England registrationA recognised Social Work qualificationExperience of Child Protection, Children in Need and Looked After Children workExperience completing Child and Family AssessmentsKnowledge of the Public Law Outline (PLO) process and court workStrong safeguarding and risk assessment skillsThe ability to work autonomously while ..... full job details .....
