About the RoleNorthampton Children''s Trust is currently seeking experienced Social Worker to join their Children in Care Teams, with a specific focus on court work.This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a varied caseload and play a key role in progressing cases through court proceedings while ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people. These positions sit within Children in Care teams, with a dedicated court function, requiring strong report writing skills and confidence working within legal frameworks. The role offers a hybrid working model, with flexibility depending on service needs.Location: One Angel Square, Northampton Rate: 38 per hour Working Pattern: Hybrid (dependent on court hearings, CIC reviews, and visits) Key ResponsibilitiesManaging a caseload involving ongoing court proceedingsCompleting high-quality assessments, court reports, and statementsUndertaking all statutory responsibilities as a case-holding social workerAttending court hearings and representing the service as requiredCarrying out statutory visits and participating in Children in Care reviewsRequirementsQualified Social Worker with relevant registrationExperience managing court proceedings within Children''s ServicesStrong assessment and report writing skillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentThis role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
