Social Worker - Children in Care (CIC) - Telford Council

Our client, Telford and Wrekin Council, is seeking a Social Worker for its Children in Care team. This is a temporary ongoing post. Paid at £33.30 per hour. Please let me know if you are interested? The role will involve the following: Children in Care team Manage a caseload of children and families, undertaking assessments and developing effective care and support plans. Lead on complex cases, making informed decisions around safeguarding, risk management, and child protection. Prepare high-quality reports and provide evidence in court proceedings when required. Build and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, families, carers, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes. Work collaboratively with statutory, voluntary, and independent services to implement care plans and support family interventions. Carry out timely and evidence-based assessments, reviewing progress and making necessary changes when positive outcomes are not being achieved. Undertake preventative and early intervention work to reduce the need for children entering care. Hybrid Arrangements: mixture of office and home based Requirements of the role: Qualified Social Worker Fully Social Work England registered 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules) Must have significant post-qualified experience in children''s social care ideally CIC / LAC / CLA or similar Please contact Lindsey ..... full job details .....
