Social Worker - Child Protection

Enfield Locum £37.52 per hour Hybrid Working Enfield Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Child Protection Team. This is a frontline safeguarding role focused on managing risk, protecting vulnerable children, and supporting families through effective statutory interventions. You will work within a supportive and high-performing service, delivering high-quality assessments and ensuring timely and outcome-focused care planning for children and families. In this role, you will: Manage a caseload of Child Protection and Child in Need cases Undertake Section 47 enquiries and risk assessments Develop and review Child Protection plans Lead and participate in strategy discussions, conferences, and core group meetings Work directly with children and families to promote positive change Prepare high-quality reports for conferences and court where required Maintain accurate and analytical case recordings What You ll Need: Social Work England Registration Social Work Qualification At least 3 years post-qualified experience in children s social care Strong experience within Child Protection teams Confidence managing complex and high-risk cases Excellent assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills Why Sheldon Phillips?
