The Role
As an Adult Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the well-being of vulnerable adults in our community. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessment and Intervention: Assess the need for social work services, including identifying risks and the need for protection. You''ll determine the best method of intervention and advise on the appropriate use of social services and other resources.
- Collaboration and Advocacy: Liaise and negotiate with other professionals and statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure clients receive the best possible care and support.
- Case Management: Manage and monitor an allocated workload within individual and team priorities, ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations and Council policies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and appropriate records of all work undertaken and complete required administrative procedures.
- Professional Development: Actively participate in supervision sessions and staff meetings, and make use of all available training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
- Service Contribution: Contribute to the evaluation and development of services by sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues and other professional groups.
- Supervision: Where appropriate, supervise social work students, helping to mentor the next generation of professionals.
About You
You will be a qualified social worker with a passion for making a real difference in people''s lives. You must be registered with Social Work England and have a strong understanding of adult social care legislation and best practices.
