Social Sciences Teacher

Academics are searching for a Social Sciences teacher for one of our well-established schools in Wakefield. In previous OFSTED reports the school have been praised for having an extensive programme of training to lead and teach the curriculum in their subjects.

Your main responsibilities as a Social Sciences teacher will involve the following:

• Covering all aspects of Social Sciences including Sociology, Psychology, and Geography, across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
• Supervising student''s behaviour and referring to the school''s behaviour management policy if required
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards
• Following the schools safeguarding policies, ensuring a safe environment for the students

Qualities and attributes we are looking for as a Social Sciences Teacher:

• Experience teaching Social Sciences up to A-Level, particularly Psychology.
• Excellent communication skills with a passion for making an impact on students'' lives
• A relevant degree related to Social Sciences accompanied with a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to apply to one
