Job Description

PK Education are recruiting for a qualified and enthusiastic Social Science Teacher to work within a secondary school in Chesterfield.

We are looking for a confident teacher who can deliver engaging Social Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. Depending on the school timetable, this may include subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, Health & Social Care and related Social Science subjects.

The successful candidate will be able to quickly settle into an established department, deliver high-quality lessons and maintain a positive learning environment for students.

The Role:

– Teaching Social Science across KS3 and KS4
– Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the school curriculum
– Supporting students with their academic progress
– Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
– Working collaboratively with the department and wider school team
– Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

– Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
– Have experience teaching Social Science within a secondary school
– Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
– Be confident delivering engaging lessons to students of varying abilities
– Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS Check
