Social Media Officer

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Social Media Officer for our client, a local government organisation based in Ellesmere Port.The successful post holder will deliver high-quality, engaging social media content that supports the Combined Authority''s priorities and prepares the organisation for the arrival of its first Mayor in 2027.Support the Digital Content Manager in implementing the CA''s digital content strategy and delivery plan, ensuring social content is accessible, inclusive, insight-driven and aligned with the wider communications and news agenda.Work confidently with colleagues across councils and partner organisations to ensure coordinated messaging and effective digital engagement.This role is a temporary contract with an initial contract length of 3 months with the possibility to extend. This role is fully agile working with travel between sites across Cheshire East, West and Warrington.Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:Create, schedule and publish engaging content across all Combined Authority social media channels, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and brand consistency.Produce high-quality social media content, including graphics, short-form videos, animations, stories and platform-specific content tailored to different audiences.Monitor social media channels, responding to comments, messages and interactions appropriately while escalating issues where necessary.Work collaboratively with communications teams across constituent ..... full job details .....
