Our retained client is a leading provider of life-safety and technology solutions, with an established presence across the UK and a growing portfolio of innovative products designed to protect people and property.

We are seeking an experienced Social Housing Specification Manager to develop and grow relationships across the M25 and London region, with a particular focus on the Social Housing sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused specification professional who understands how to navigate the social housing market and can demonstrate a successful track record of selling an affiliated product, building product or technology solution into housing associations, local authorities and other social housing stakeholders.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the National Specification Manager you will take responsibility for developing specification opportunities and increasing the adoption of the company''s products across the London and M25 region.

You will work closely with housing associations, local authorities, contractors, consultants and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities, influence specifications and develop long-term commercial relationships.

The role will suit someone who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and technical level, able to understand customer requirements and translate these into commercially successful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a strong network of relationships across Housing Associations, Local Authorities and Social Housing providers throughout London and the M25.
• Identify and develop new specification opportunities from initial engagement through to successful product adoption.
• Influence key decision-makers including technical, procurement, asset management, compliance and commercial stakeholders.
• Build relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, developers and other influencers within the social housing supply chain.
• Identify upcoming refurbishment, regeneration and new-build projects where the company''s products can be specified.
• Deliver product presentations, technical briefings and CPD-style activities where appropriate.
• Work closely with internal sales, marketing, technical and commercial teams to convert specification opportunities into revenue.
• Monitor the market, competitor activity and emerging opportunities across the region.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline and market intelligence reports.
• Develop long-term strategic relationships rather than operating purely on a transactional sales basis.

What We''re Looking For

We''re particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:

• Proven experience selling a technical, building-related, safety or affiliated product into the Social Housing sector.
• Existing knowledge and relationships across Housing Associations, Local Authorities and/or Social Housing providers.
• A strong understanding of the London/M25 social housing market.
• Experience influencing specifications and working with multiple stakeholders through a complex sales process.
• A demonstrable track record of developing new business and converting specification opportunities.
• The ability to engage confidently with technical, commercial and senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills.
• A self-motivated and consultative approach to business development.

We are equally interested in candidates who have successfully sold an affiliated or complementary product into the Social Housing sector, particularly where that experience involves specification, compliance, refurbishment, new-build or asset-management projects.
