Location: London – Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office
Pay Rate: £21.85–£23.85 per hour
Do you know your Dungeons & Dragons from your average RPG? Are you familiar with Wizards of the Coast, tabletop gaming, fantasy worlds and the passionate online communities built around them?
Perhaps you''re already following gaming discussions on Reddit, spotting fan conversations on TikTok and Instagram, or keeping up with the memes, trends and debates that get gaming communities talking.
We''re recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised entertainment and gaming brand for a Social Content & Community Manager to join their social team on an initial six-month contract, with the potential to extend.
This role is all about fandom and community. You''ll help the brand connect with its online followers, understand what its fans care about and find creative ways to deepen engagement across social channels.
You''ll need strong social media experience, but just as importantly, we''re looking for someone who genuinely understands gaming culture and fandom communities. An existing interest in Dungeons & Dragons, Wizards of the Coast, tabletop gaming, fantasy gaming or similar fandoms would be a real advantage.
The RoleAs Social Content & Community Manager, you''ll be immersed in the conversations taking place across gaming and entertainment communities.
You''ll identify emerging trends, fan conversations, memes and cultural moments, and work with copywriters, designers and video editors to turn them into engaging, relevant social content.
You''ll also play an important role in growing and engaging the online community – understanding what followers respond to, encouraging conversation and helping create content that feels authentic to established fans while attracting new ones.
This is a fast-moving role where you''ll need to understand when the brand should join a conversation, how it should respond and, importantly, when it shouldn''t.
What You''ll Be Doing- Engaging with passionate gaming, tabletop and entertainment fandoms across social platforms.
- Monitoring TikTok, Instagram, X, Reddit and other online communities to understand what fans are talking about.
- Identifying emerging trends, memes, conversations and cultural moments relevant to the community.
- Finding creative ways to increase engagement and strengthen relationships with online followers.
- Turning fan insights and trends into reactive, social-first content ideas.
- Helping shape the social content calendar around the interests and behaviours of the community.
- Working closely with copywriters, designers and video editors to produce engaging content at pace.
- Making confident editorial decisions around tone of voice, timing and cultural relevance.
- Supporting community conversations and ensuring interactions feel authentic to the fandom.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and keeping content and approvals moving.
- Staying immersed in gaming, entertainment, fantasy and internet culture.
We''re looking for someone who understands that successful community management isn''t simply about posting content – it''s about understanding the people behind the fandom and knowing how to engage with them authentically.
You''ll ideally have:
- Experience in Social Media, Community Management, Content, Editorial or Digital Marketing.
- A genuine interest in Dungeons & Dragons, Wizards of the Coast, tabletop gaming, fantasy gaming or similar fandoms.
- A strong understanding of gaming communities and how fans interact online.
- Excellent knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, X and emerging social platforms.
- A natural understanding of internet culture, memes and social trends.
- Experience creating or contributing to content designed to generate conversation and engagement.
- Experience working collaboratively with copywriters, designers, video editors or other creative teams.
- Strong editorial judgement and the confidence to decide whether a trend or conversation is right for the brand.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to react quickly when opportunities emerge.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with a gaming, entertainment, consumer brand or creative agency.
- First-hand knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons, tabletop RPGs, fantasy gaming or Wizards of the Coast communities.
- Experience managing or engaging online fan communities.
- Knowledge of social publishing, listening or community management tools.
- Examples of reactive social content, community campaigns or high-performing posts you''ve helped create.
- An initial 6-month temporary contract with the potential to extend.
