A well-established manufacturer of cutting-edge devices are currently looking for a SMT Operator. The successful candidate will work on an automated SMT production line, comprising a Panasonic AM-100 pick-and-place machine, Marantz AOI machine (automated optical inspection) and Pyramax reflow oven.

What you will be doing?

  • Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment, including stencil printer, pick-and-place machine, and reflow oven. Load components, feeders, and PCBs to the SMT machine as per the job schedule.
  • Inspect solder paste application, component placement, and solder joints (visually or using AOI systems).
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Carry out SMT and Through-hole rework when required

What you need?

  • Prior experience working with SMT machines and PCB assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, assembly instructions, PCB layout diagrams and bills of materials (BoM).
  • Understanding of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.) and the SMT packages (TSSOP, SOP, SOIC, SOT, etc.)
  • Prior experience working with SMT machines and PCB assembly
  • Familiarity with surface mount component handling procedures.
  • Experience with AOI inspection or reflow profiling (desirable)
