Job Summary

As an SMT Operator, you''ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) department, supporting production across two busy SMT lines. Working as part of a team, you''ll help ensure products are built efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and support SMT equipment including screen printers, pick and place machines, AOI systems, reflow/vapor phase ovens, and rework/repair stations
• Load feeders and prepare machines for production runs
• Assist with machine setup and changeovers
• Monitor production to ensure smooth operation
• Identify and report faults or issues during production
• Carry out basic rework and soldering tasks
• Perform quality checks and visual inspections of PCB assemblies
• Record production data and support traceability requirements
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with 5S and health & safety standards

What We''re Looking For

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of electronics assembly or PCB production
• Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and specifications
• Willingness to learn new skills and processes
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interaction
